Apple’s classical music application is available for download, and the official explanation for developing a separate application

Apple’s latest classical music application, Apple Music Classical, was made available for download to iPhone users today (28th). So why did Apple create a separate music application outside of Apple Music? According to Apple, this is due to the uniqueness and complexity of classical music – often with longer and more detailed titles, each work is performed and recorded by multiple artists, and there are hundreds of famous recordings.

“For example, from Beethoven’s formal Piano Sonata No. 14 to its well-known alias Moonlight Sonata or named in multiple languages such as ‘Mondschein Sonata’ in German. These complexities mean that streaming platforms do not serve classical music enthusiasts well.” The independent Apple Music Classical app can support this complex data structure.

This app is only available for Apple Music subscribers running iOS 15.4 or later versions.
