Microsoft recently announced the establishment of a new division called “Microsoft AI.” The division will be led by Mustafa Suleyman, co-founder of DeepMind and Inflection, who will also serve as the Executive Vice President and CEO of Microsoft AI, reporting directly to Microsoft’s CEO, Satya Nadella. Teams including Microsoft Edge, Copilot, and Bing will be transferred to the new division along with the GenAI team. It appears that this reorganization does not involve the Windows division, although Microsoft is actively integrating Copilot into Windows 11.
