On Tuesday, local time, Roskomnadzor, the Russian regulatory agency responsible for media and communication censorship, added the domain name of Steam Community (SteamCommunity.com) to its Unified Register of Prohibited Information (local blacklist of banned websites). This action was carried out in response to a request from the Ministry of Internal Affairs. However, gamers soon discovered that the community was still accessible in Russia. According to the Russian state-owned news agency RIA Novosti, the Steam Community had a page containing information about the production of narcotics, and after this page was removed, the ban on the website was subsequently lifted.
