Microsoft has discontinued support for the fifth-generation Surface Pro, also known as the Surface Pro 5 or Surface Pro Model 1807, effective January 15, 2024. It will no longer receive driver or firmware updates. This device was released by Microsoft in China on May 23, 2017. The Surface Pro 5 featured a base-level seventh-generation Intel Core i5 processor and offered an LTE version. The next Surface device to reach the end of its support lifecycle will be the Surface Pro 7, which is scheduled to end support on February 28, 2024.
