YouTube now allows all channel administrators to pause comments on their videos. Once closed, viewers will not be able to leave new comments, but they can still read existing ones. The pause feature can be used in the YouTube application or the YouTube Studio management platform. This feature has been tested for a while and is now being made available to all channel administrators. Previously, YouTube channel administrators could selectively disable comments on an entire video, but doing so would also delete any posted comments. Therefore, the official introduction of the pause option was made.
