软餐获悉，微软向盲人或视障人士推出了适用于 Android 系统的 Seeing AI 应用程序（Play 商店）。借助该应用，用户可以使用摄像头扫描物体或人脸，以获得针对对象的语音描述。Seeing AI 不仅可以识别特定的人，还可以解释该其面部表情。微软已于 2017 年先行推出了 Seeing AI 的 iOS 版本。此外，微软还将很快为 Android 版添加两项新功能，包括为照片生成 “丰富的描述”，以及针对已扫描的文档提出问题，例如菜单上的项目、收据上项目价格或总结文章等。Seeing AI 应用程序目前支持英、法、韩、意大利、德、荷兰、瑞典、捷克等 18 种语言，尚不支持中文，但微软计划在 2024 年将其语言支持扩大到 34 种。
Microsoft has launched the Seeing AI application for Android systems (Play Store) targeting blind or visually impaired individuals. With this application, users can use the camera to scan objects or faces and obtain voice descriptions of the objects. Seeing AI not only recognizes specific individuals but also interprets their facial expressions. Microsoft first released the iOS version of Seeing AI in 2017. Additionally, Microsoft plans to add two new features to the Android version soon: generating “rich descriptions” for photos and asking questions about scanned documents such as items on a menu, prices on receipts, or summarizing articles. Currently, the Seeing AI application supports 18 languages including English, French, Korean, Italian, German, Dutch, Swedish, and Czech but does not yet support Chinese. However, Microsoft plans to expand its language support to 34 languages by 2024.
