Charlie Munger, the billionaire vice chairman of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (BRKA), passed away on Tuesday at the age of 99. Munger was the closest business partner to Warren Buffett, the chairman of the company, and his most trusted assistant for over 60 years. Buffett gave Munger a nickname – “the lovable contrarian” – and stated that Berkshire Hathaway was built according to Munger’s blueprint.
