Swiss software company Proton has released Proton Drive, a cloud storage service for macOS (available for download on their official website). The application provides automatic end-to-end encryption support for files, including metadata, similar to other versions of Proton Drive. It allows users to sync files from Proton Drive to their Mac and offers optional features such as offline file access, file synchronization, and version history. The Proton Drive for macOS application will be open source. Proton officially launched its cloud storage service, Proton Drive, last year in 2020, and subsequently released versions for Windows, Android, and iOS. The Linux version of Proton Drive is also currently under development.
