According to DSCC analyst Ross Young, Apple hopes to provide under-screen selfie cameras and Face ID modules for the iPhone Pro in 2027. Ross Young also released a product roadmap for iPhone screens in the coming years. Starting from 2025, all iPhones will be equipped with LTPO screens, while Pro iPhones have been equipped since 2021.
Ross Young said that this year’s iPhone 15 model will be equipped with Dynamic Island like last year’s Pro model. Starting from 2025, Dynamic Island will make way for smaller camera holes in the Pro models. The Face ID hardware used for facial recognition will be located below the screen, while the camera hole should only accommodate a selfie camera.
