Meta has recently started rolling out its account verification service, Meta Verified, in some countries. Currently, the service is only available in three countries: Australia, New Zealand and the United States. Users from other regions can apply to join a waiting list.
Similar to Twitter’s verification service, Meta Verified is also a paid service. The mobile app verification fee is $14.99 per month while the Facebook web version verification fee is $11.99 per month. During the verification process, users need to upload their ID photos and it takes about 48 hours to complete the process. Instagram or Facebook users who have already obtained blue V do not need to subscribe to Meta Verified again.
The benefits of Meta Verified include:
- Account protection: Meta Verified provides proactive account protection services by monitoring potential fraudulent activities on its platform.
- More Stars: Subscribers can receive 100 Facebook Stars each month as digital currency that can be given as gifts to other creators.
- Stories stickers: Meta Verified subscribers have exclusive access to stickers for Facebook Stories, Instagram Stories and Facebook Reels.
