Twitter unexpectedly retained the verification badge of old blue V accounts

The time has come to April, which is exactly when Twitter announced that it will remove the old blue V verification badge. Soft meal learned that many users who previously obtained free blue V certification found that their organized blue V badges were not deleted. Instead, Twitter added a note for these accounts.

This account is verified because it subscribes to Twitter Blue or the old version of verified accounts.

But this seems to bring new “confusion” – Twitter users will not be able to distinguish whether a certain account’s blue V badge was purchased or not.
