The New York Times’ blue verification badge on Twitter was ordered to be removed by Musk

纽约时报在Twitter的蓝V徽章被马斯克下令删掉了

Although Twitter has retained many of the old version verification badges for blue V accounts, there are exceptions: after The New York Times announced that it would not specifically pay for Twitter Blue’s blue V certification, Musk ordered the media outlet’s blue V badge to be removed. The New York Times has 55 million followers on Twitter.

Musk replied at the time, “Oh well, then we’ll take it down.” He also mocked and said: “The real tragedy of The New York Times is that their promotion isn’t even interesting…the content they publish is as difficult to read as feces on Twitter. If they only published top-notch articles, they would have more genuine followers. This applies equally to all publications.
