Linux Lite 6.4 released, still able to run on 768 MB of memory

The Linux distribution, Linux Lite 6.4, has been released. The updates it brings include support for WebP in the Thunar file manager, UI updates to the Thunderbird email client, the latest Papirus icon theme, and the latest stable versions of Chrome, LibreOffice and Lite applications as well as a selection of new wallpapers. In addition, internal Linux Lite applications have begun using ZSTD compression for faster decompression speeds and higher compression ratios.

The update log shows that Linux Lite 6.4 can still run on computers with only 768 MB of memory and a processor frequency of 1 GHz. However, it is recommended to have at least a 1.5 GHz processor and 1 GB RAM or more. The minimum hard disk space requirement is 8 GB but it is recommended to have at least 20 GB.
