Contrary to the Windows market share data just released by StatCounter, a survey conducted by gaming platform Steam shows that in March 2023, Windows 11’s share on the platform has dropped significantly from 30% to 22.41%. Meanwhile, Windows 10’s market share has surged to 73.59%, an increase of 10.49%.

At the end of March, Steam announced that it will stop supporting Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8 .1 from year-end of2024.This data shows that there are still about1 .3 %of users running these system versions.
