Google has recently improved the working method of the adaptive charging function for its Pixel series phones. Now, users no longer need to set an alarm to enable it – the system will learn their usage habits and set the required charging time based on their sleep patterns. The adaptive charging function extends battery life by limiting the battery’s charging capacity, allowing smartphones to maintain 80% charge during most of the night. As users approach wake-up time, it will start charging from 80% and eventually fully charge when they wake up.
It is reported that this improvement was released in a previous update but only recently noticed.
