Microsoft releases “Copilot for Word” preview to some users

After announcing Office 365 Copilot in mid-March, Microsoft has now started rolling out an early version of “Copilot for Word” to some Office Word preview users (Beta channel). Microsoft describes it as “a new way to work smarter and faster,” and this private preview is available for specific Microsoft 365 enterprise customers. Testing shared by windowslatest shows that Copilot for Word currently seems to only be able to perform two tasks: writing a brand new document or editing an existing one. However, the service often encounters errors during testing, displaying that it cannot understand requests. Currently, the service only supports English.

It is expected that over the next few weeks, Microsoft will gradually expand the range of test users.
