Mozilla has released a minor version update for its Firefox browser on Windows and macOS. Firefox will be updated from version 111.0 to 111.0.1. This update addresses issues that could cause the Firefox browser to freeze and crash.
According to Bugzilla, the Firefox crash issue on Windows occurred on systems that had installed the KB5023706 update. When launching Firefox, only a blank window was displayed with only the minimize, maximize, and close buttons available. To open the browser, users had to force close the window and reopen the browser.

- Fixed a bug causing Firefox to freeze on startup for some Windows users (bug 1823159).
- Fixed a crash on macOS while pinch-zooming under some circumstances (bug 1658986).
