YouTube announced on March 17th that they have unblocked former US President Trump’s channel. YouTube stated that they carefully assessed the risks and balanced the opportunity for voters to equally hear from major national candidates before the election.
After the events at the US Capitol in 2021, social networks and technology companies have taken steps to control accounts related to Trump and his campaign. Several platforms including Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube have banned his accounts.
