WhatsApp is developing a new feature called “Expiring Groups” that is currently in internal testing on WhatsApp iOS 23.5.0.71 beta. According to screenshots, the feature will prompt users to clear group messages when a specified time (within one day/one week/custom date) arrives. However, the feature only applies to the user and not other group participants.
Additionally, WhatsApp will address the issue of chat taking up too much storage on phones in the new version, providing users with more setting options.
