The processor configuration for Nothing’s next smartphone, the Nothing Phone 2, has been “accidentally” revealed by a Qualcomm executive. Alex Katouzian, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Qualcomm’s Mobile, Compute, and XR (MCX) business unit, posted a message on LinkedIn (since deleted) disclosing that the Nothing Phone 2 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor.
Despite being an older generation processor used in a new device in 2023, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 still boasts strong performance. Past tests have also shown that while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is better, the difference is not significant.
