Apple announced yesterday that third-party app developers will now be able to view “peer group benchmarks” in the App Analytics tool. This feature enables developers to compare the performance of their apps with similar apps on the App Store, helping them to adjust their optimization and growth strategies. To facilitate comparison, Apple will group apps based on App Store categories, business models, and download volume. At the same time, industry-leading differential privacy technology will be used to ensure the privacy of individual app performance.
