YouTube TV, the internet TV service, is raising its prices. Google has announced that the YouTube TV Base Plan price will increase from $64.99/month to $72.99/month. For new subscribers to YouTube TV, the new price will be effective immediately. For existing subscribers, the new price will be effective from April 18th, and for those who subscribe through Google Play, the new price will be effective from June 15th, 2023.
Google explains the price increase as due to “rising content costs” and the need to “continue investing in service quality.” However, there is also good news – the price of YouTube TV’s 4K Plus add-on service has been reduced from $19.99/month to $9.99/month.
